Where is the Golden mine located?
The Golden mine is located on State of Colorado Trust Lands, North of Golden, west of SH 93, S of 56th Ave
The Dakota hogback area proposed for rezoning would allow for an additional 30 acres of clay mining. The rezone area is visible looking west across SH 93 toward the Dakota hogback from the North Table Mountain Trail Parking lot.

How do I "join" PTH?
Provide us with your contact information under Contact Us. PTH will provide periodic email updates to advocates that "join", donate or sign the PTH petition opposing the rezoning. There is no cost to join PTH.

How do I make a donation to PTH?
Donors are encouraged to use the PayPal donate feature found on the PTH website, www.protectthehogback.com. For anyone wishing to donate without using the PayPal feature, please contact us at protectthehogback@protonmail.com for assistance.
What are donations to PTH used for?
PTH donations are used to build community awareness of the proposed rezoning for mining and to offset business and marketing (outreach) expenses. PTH community volunteers are not compensated. PTH relies solely on donations from citizens to carry out our advocacy work.

Are donations tax deductible?
Donations are not tax deductible.
PTH is a non-profit corporation registered with the State of Colorado, Secretary of State. PTH is not an IRS, 501(c) 3

How can I help PTH?
Spread the word. Tell family, friends, neighbors and associates about the rezoning being proposed for mining in our community.
Sign the PTH petition opposing this rezoning to expand mining on the Dakota hogback
Support PTH with a donation. The PTH non-profit has no income source, we rely solely on donations from citizens
Submit public comments to Jefferson County Planning and Zoning (skohles@jeffco.us)l during the rezoning review period.
Attend public hearings, (if any) of the Jefferson County Planning Commission and the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners. There are no Jeffco hearings scheduled at this time. PTH will send notices of new case developments, important meetings or hearings to PTH advocates of record as we become aware of them.
